We proudly helped enhanced capacity of an steel manufacturing company and established inventory audit
Our client was a largest colled rolled steel coils producer in the country with installed capacity of 44,000 tons exporting to countries such as South Africa, USA along with catering to the local markets. due to increasing demand, the company was struggling to meet local requirements. The issus at hand was the limited capacity of the rolling mill that could churn up to 40,000 tons where as galvanizing mill capacity was 60,000 tons. The limited capacity of the rolling mill was resulting in clients dissatisfaction and lost revenue. To meet the lost demand and to enhance capacity, we did the survey, engaged into negotiation with various stakeholders and struck a deal with a rolling mill located at the insutrial city of Port Qasim providing the 9000 tons of rolled mills to our clienst. The whole project invloved the procuring the cold mills providing, contract and negotiation, and arranging 3pL for smooth flow of materials from one plant to the another. Our initial inventory audit report detected a large stock of hot rolled coils getting rusty in the coil yard. We helped organized warehousing space and initiated RFID scanning to ensure FIFO and waste material.
